Our flour is milled from buckwheat groats. Groats are whole grains that contain the fiber-rich portion of the plant. Buckwheat itself, despite the very misleading name, is not related to wheat at all! Its closest commonly-known relative is rhubarb. Both plants have an earthy, nutty taste, and buckwheat is rich in so many things. Enjoy with peace of mind!
